Surgical Procedure
Colposcopy
A colposcopy is an in‑office exam of your cervix, and sometimes your vagina and vulva, using a special microscope called a colposcope. This device allows your provider to see your cervical cells in greater detail.
Surgical Procedure
Dilation & Curettage (D&C)
A D&C (dilation and curettage) is a brief surgical procedure in which the cervix is opened and tissue is removed from the lining of the uterus for diagnostic or therapeutic reasons.
Surgical Procedure
Endometrial Ablation
Endometrial ablation is a procedure that destroys the uterine lining (endometrium) to reduce or stop heavy menstrual bleeding.
Surgical Procedure
Hymenectomy
This is a minor procedure that’s used to remove extra hymen tissue that may be blocking or narrowing the vaginal opening. This allows the vagina to function normally. This procedure is used for health and comfort. It doesn’t determine or change virginity.
Surgical Procedure
Hysterectomy
Hysterectomy, removal of the uterus, is a surgical procedure that is an effective treatment for a number of conditions.
Surgical Procedure
Hysteroscopy
Hysteroscopy is a minimally invasive procedure that lets your physician look directly inside your uterus with a tiny camera to diagnose and sometimes treat problems such as abnormal bleeding, polyps, or fibroids.
Surgical Procedure
LEEP (Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure)
LEEP (Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure) is a fast, in-office procedure that’s used to remove abnormal cells from the surface of the cervix. A thin, heated wire loop is used. Your provider may recommend LEEP if you have abnormal Pap or HPV results showing precancerous changes. Removing these cells lowers your risk for developing cervical cancer.
Surgical Procedure
Labiaplasty
The term "labiaplasty" most often refers to a procedure used to reduce and even out the inner lips - labia minora - of the exterior female genitalia.
Surgical Procedure
Laparoscopy
Laparoscopy is a surgical approach that uses small incisions and a tiny camera to look inside the abdomen and, if needed, treat problems. Rather than using large incisions from the past, this approach offers women an effective surgical and diagnostic procedure that is less painful than traditional surgery and provides for a much faster recovery.
Surgical Procedure
Mid-Urethral Sling
The Mid-Urethral Sling provides the necessary support to treat leakage that occurs with stress urinary incontinence: coughing, sneezing, laughing, and exercise. It is a small strip of mesh is placed under the urethra to support it and help stop urinary incontinence.
Surgical Procedure
Mons Pubis Reduction
The mons pubis is the "fat pad" area above the vulva/vagina – the transition area between the genital tissues and the abdominal wall. Just as with the abdomen, this area can accumulate fat deposits. We offer liposuction and other procedures to reduce the fat in this area.
Surgical Procedure
Myomectomy
A myomectomy is a surgical procedure that removes uterine fibroids while leaving the uterus in place. This treatment is often chosen when women choose to keep or protect fertility.
Surgical Procedure
Oophorectomy
An oophorectomy is surgery to remove one or both ovaries, the organs that store eggs and make hormones like estrogen and progesterone. An oophorectomy is used to treat an ovarian problem or to lower the risk of certain cancers.
Surgical Procedure
Ovarian Cystectomy
An ovarian cystectomy is surgery to remove a cyst from an ovary while keeping as much normal ovary as possible. This approach is often chosen to relieve symptoms and protect fertility.
Surgical Procedure
Polypectomy
A polypectomy is a minimally invasive procedure to remove one or more polyps (small tissue growths) from the lining of an organ, such as the uterus or cervix, to relieve symptoms and rule out or prevent cancer.
Surgical Procedure
Prolapse Repair Without Mesh
Prolapse repair surgery restores dropped pelvic organs (such as the bladder, uterus, or vagina) back into their normal position and reinforces the support tissues so they stay in place.
Surgical Procedure
Tubal Ligation Reversal
Tubal ligation reversal is surgery to reconnect or reopen the fallopian tubes after “getting your tubes tied,” with the goal of allowing natural pregnancy again. Your surgeon will likely use laparoscopy to view and remove the blocked section of each tube and stitch the healthy ends back together under a microscope or magnification (tubal reanastomosis).
Surgical Procedure
Vaginoplasty
Vaginoplasty is surgery to reconstruct or repair the vagina and/or vulva. Typically this is done to repair the vagina after trauma or surgery, or to improve support, comfort, and sexual function after childbirth, aging, or other changes.
Surgical Procedure
Vulvar Fat Transfer
Vulvar (labia majora) fat transfer is a minimally invasive procedure that uses your own fat to restore fullness and smooth contour to the outer labia for improved comfort and appearance.
