Dr. Johnstone is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology with a strong professional interest in many aspects of women's health: all wellwoman care; routine and high risk pregnancy care; female infertility; menstrual disorders; contraception; vaginosis and vluvar care; and minimally invasive surgery and procedures.

Dr. Johnstone's View of Patient Care

Dr. Johnstone was inspired to go into the medical field when she accompanied her mom to an OB visit while her mom was expecting her younger sister. Clearly, even at a young age, she understood the importance of personal health care. Many of her patients feel as though they are being treated like a sister or a mother – the kind of extra attention many women really appreciate during times of need. About her work as an OBGYN, she says:

Honors, Awards, and Leadership

Throughout her life, she has had many accomplishments including her academic honors. Dr. Johnstone has traveled worldwide in her practice, including living and practicing in Japan for many years. She has summited Mt. Fuji in Japan, has lead medical mission trips to Kenya and Jamaica with her husband who is a pastor, and was the Medical Director of the OB/GYN Department at Misawa Air Base Hospital becoming a Major and Flight Commander while in the US Air Force.
